AboutHow we workContact

Write for us

We publish doctors who have something specific to say.

Students, residents, consultants, and doctors who left: if you have seen something first-hand that others would learn from, we would like to hear it.

What we look for

First-hand experience
Field Notes and Dispatches from doctors who lived it: a posting, a career change, a week, a hard decision.
One ordinary week
For The Week, Accounted For: log one real week, hour by hour. We send a simple sheet, and you approve the piece before it runs.
Reported pieces
Features and explainers built on primary sources and real interviews, on any desk.
Considered opinion
Essays that argue something specific and stand behind it, without slogans.

Our standards

  1. 1Nothing invented: no composite characters, made-up quotes or unsourced figures.
  2. 2Health and money claims need primary sources, which we check.
  3. 3Declare any competing interest. Paid promotion is not journalism and we do not publish it as such.
  4. 4No burnout glorification, no shaming, no flex.
  5. 5We edit for clarity and length, and you see the final version before it is published.

How to pitch: a few lines on the idea, why now, and why you. No finished drafts on first contact, please. Write to [email protected].
